Andrew Harrison

After receiving his BS degree from Messiah College and Turfgrass Management degree from University of Maryland, Andrew joined The Elkridge Club in Baltimore as Assistant Superintendent. In 2006, he began his sales career by joining Lesco/John Deere Landscapes servicing the Maryland territory. Andrew then was recruited to expand and develop the Maryland territory for Pocono Turf in 2014. He now services customers in MD, DC, VA, W. VA and Central PA.

Scott May

Scott is a graduate of the Rutgers Turf Management program and began his career as an assistant superintendent at Huntingdon Valley Country Club in 1995. He went on to become the superintendent at Aspetuck Valley Country Club in CT and then at Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in 2002. Scott spent ten years at Manufacturers before starting his own business, Turf Max LLC. He ran Turf Max as President from 2009 until joining the Pocono Turf sales team in 2021. Scott represents Pocono Turf throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Matt Paulina

Matt started his career in the golf industry over 25 years ago.  After receiving his BS in turfgrass science from Penn State University, he joined DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, DE and was an assistant superintendent for 4 years.

This hands-on experience led him to a sales position with Lesco, Inc. beginning in 2003 in Long Island, NY and then managing the sales territory in Southern NJ.   After a successful career with Lesco/John Deere landscapes, Matt saw an opportunity to expand his career and joined the Pocono Turf sales team in 2012.

Chris Friel

Chris started in the golf industry directly out of high school at Eagle Lodge Country Club (now home to Union League Liberty Hill). He graduated Penn State’s two-year Turfgrass Management Program in 1987 and joined Meadowlands Country Club (now Bluestone) as the assistant superintendent. He then went on to become golf course superintendent at Oak Terrace CC, Blue Bell CC and finally Talamore CC.

In 1995 Chris left being a golf course superintendent to pursue a career in sales with Lesco. Chris drove the Lesco truck (store on wheels) until joining the Pocono Turf sales team. He has been servicing customers in PA and DE since 2001.

Chris Zelley

Chris graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Horticulture and began his career selling landscape designs for a Bucks County, PA landscape company.  He continued expanding his agronomic experience as a regional sales representative with Rohm and Hass supporting the agricultural, turf and ornamental distributor network. Chris then took on more responsibilities as a sales and product manager for Lebanon Turf Supply focusing on turf and ornamental products. His success with Lebanon resulted in one of their top customers, Central NJ based Reed and Perrine, recruiting him to expand their reach into the golf and lawncare markets.

In 2005, seeing on opportunity to focus his expertise on the golf market with a growing family run company, Chris joined the Pocono Turf Supply sales team. Chris focuses on customers in NJ and Eastern PA.

Ken Gentile

Ken Gentile has worked in the golf industry for over 39 years and started his career on a small 9 hole golf course in Somers, NY during high school. After attending the University of Massachusetts turfgrass school, Ken went back to the same course to help construct a new 18 hole golf course.  Upon completion, he was promoted to manage the original 9 hole course.  After 6 years he went on to become Assistant Superintendent at the Canyon Country Club in Armonk NY.  In 1997, he became Superintendent at Hampshire CC in Mamaroneck, NY and oversaw a $3 million renovation project designed by Architect Stephen Kay. Ken used his expertise on the golf course to move into sales and has represented Pocono Turf since 2017.

Tim Joyce

Tim graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy in 1980. He worked as an assistant superintendent at Pine Hollow CC on Long Island before moving on to the superintendent position at Clearview GC in Bayside. He later became the general manager at Clearview as well as the regional superintendent for American Golf Corporation overseeing the maintenance of 9 AGC managed properties In New York and Connecticut. Tim transitioned to the sales side of the business in 1996 where he has been assisting superintendents on Long Island for 26 years and representing Pocono Turf since 2013.
